About Us

Institute of Leadership and Church Administrators in Nigeria

ILCAN is a pioneer training, educational, research, professional, examination and ecumenical body. Being non-denominational and non-profit, it is established to bring unparalleled value that will institutionalise integrity, professional competence decency, orderliness, self-discipline and godliness in believers through transformational leadership and administration of the body of Christ and allied organisations.

Legalised (having been approved by Federal Ministry of Education and federal Ministry of Justice respectively) under laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2013, it is the household professional institute for Church/Ministry Leaders and Administrators, irrespective of their denominational titles, corporate Leaders/Executives, Chaplains in Nigerian Armed Forces, Nigeria Police, Paramilitary agencies, Special Advisers to Government on Religious/Ecumenical Affairs, Seminary Administrators, Researchers/Lecturers in Religious Departments of Recognised Tertiary Institutions, Theological Seminaries, Christian Workers, Full time employees in local Churches and their administrative centres or headquarters.

Global events have shown that science, Law and philosophy have failed to ensure national or global peace, effective corporate governance without the influence of religion. for this cause, ILCAN, a divine vision (whose relevance was confirmed in a survey by Beulah Consults Academy of Leadership & Church Administrators in 2000) was conceived to breed professionally competent God fearing corporate leaders, church administrators, researchers/academia etc. that will demonstrate their being SALT and LIGHT of the world as “change agents” to transform the public life of Nigerians and the world.

Thus Certified Leaders and Church Administrators from ILCAN by their training holds the “ace” towards an “Emerging New Nation” with global social order grounded on truth, integrity, ecumenism and interfaith harmony.
